Foodie Friday Alert
Fellow Foodies or should I say foddies,
As today is Foodie Friday I have two of my recent favourite food selections to follow:
1. Banana Carob ice-cream slice (Dairy free, gluten free, soy free, sugar free)
2. Pistachio Oasis cake (Dairy free, grain free, soy free, gluten free, sugar free)
Recipes to follow and they are simple and easy!!
You will need:
-A food processor
-An oven (heated to 180'C fan-forced)
-spray oil
-A cake dish (oiled)
First up ingredients:
Banana Carob Ice-cream Slice
-2 bananas
-1 cup hazelnuts
-1/2 cup deshelled pistachios
-1 cup water (start with less and add slowly)
-1/2 cup dates (depit them please)
- teaspoon of organic maple syrup (or agave/coconut syrup)
-1 cup of carob powder
Pistachio Oasis Cake
-3 cups pistachios (deshelled of course)
-3 eggs
- 1 cup water (less if needed)
-1 tablespoon maple syrup
-1 teaspoon coconut syrup
Now the methods behind my madness:
Each has their turn in the food processor, 1 then goes to the freezer to set in a container, while 2 goes in the oven for 45 minutes or less- basically take it out with the top starts to brown evenly.
Both ready to eat within the hour, YUM, YUM! Happy cooking Adventures Foodies
